Not sure if this has been reported, but you can install chrome by pressing the microphone and just saying "install chrome". I have a Logitec media keyboard with built in track pad so works nicely.

I have both and they're alomst the same. Performance wise I can't see any difference. The Lit wins with having Oreo already, the built in SD slot and Ethernet.
Mostly use it for Terrarium, YouTube and Mobdro.

Yes, just install Puffin browser from playstore and access apkmirror from there.
Oh ok, yeah I did that earlier, thanks. I'm still new to google assistant, but I've seen tutorials on how to use it where the assistant would even respond when you just say "hello" and it would ask what can it do for you ... When I try that it simply searches YouTube or the internet for something labelled "hello" ... How do I enable it to function like that?

Google assistant magic phrase is "hey google" or "ok google". I don't know that the box has assistant built-in or always listening for the magic phrases. I know you can voice search as you've described, but not sure if it will "do intelligent things".
So i just spent a few hours trying to figure out the problem and seems all this long we didn't have Google Assistant.
In order to get Google Assistant you have to change the language on the box to "English(US)"
Saying "Hey Google" or "Ok Google" won't work because the mic in the remote is not "always on"

Care to give us a user guide?
1- Download the latest "Google app for Android TV" from apkmirror.
2 - Install
3 - Go to "Settings"
4 - Scroll to "Preferences" and select "Language"
5 - Look for "English (United States)(US)" and select it
6 - Google Assistant will be enabled
Any other type of English will revert to normal voice control.
To use the "Google Assistant", click the mic icon and speak. If you want to follow up the Question or ask another question you need to hold the mic icon for a few seconds.

Thanks Sumen. That's what I was looking for. I also came across a thread on the net explaining this but I was just changing the speech input language to English US and not the entire device language to English US and it wasn't working, that's why I asked... Thanks for figuring it out and sharing. Works well.

I must say, the HDMI CEC works quite well.
If I ask my home mini to turn off the tv, it works, I assume via the Mi Box.
TV is an older Sony Bravia that is also connected to the WiFi, but definitely does not have android functions.
