Xiaomi Mi Box / Mi Box S [Android TV OS]

How does the interface look? Do all the apps including DSTV Now work well?
 
Just checked if the update is available for me, and it is downloading now.
 
So did the update, but can't access hdd media through kodi or mx player. Any suggestions?

It is off.
Tried another hdd. No go.
Seems to be a permission or something that I am missing. X-Plore can browse and play media no problem. But Kodi nor MxPlayer can access the hdd or play any files.

Maybe reinstall those apps. It might update the permissions.

I have the same problem - after the update Kodi can not find the content on the external hdd - Mibox recognises it as being mounted. I am trying vlc now...

VLC plays the NTFS hdd fine - I must check how to remove and add the hdd as a source for Kodi I think

Mibox gives the message that Kodi was designed for an older version of Android (Kodi 17.6) when I fiddle with Kodi's permissions - need an updated Kodi?

Why can't Mibox mount an ext4 hdd? - nevermind its the permissions

So, MxPlayer and Kodi can read FAT32 usb no problem, but not NTFS. That seems to be the issue. Any ideas to get it to work? I need to work with Kodi.
 
And the 4GB limit in FAT32 is not going to work for my DVD rips on the hdd..

So these two apps could read NTFS before, but now with Oreo they can’t? What about exFAT?
