Xiaomi Note 10 Pro review

Ok so leave the phone off for 3 days, had to use an OTG to use a mouse to actually turn it off, after leaving it off and then resetting the device it seems to be working.

I know the Note 10 Pro uses a 33W fast charger to charge the phone. If I can get a Xiaomi 65W charger (free) will it be of any advantage or could it damage the phone or battery?

SOC / Board controls charge speed - you won't see any higher charging speed.

I cannot confirm whether damage may result from a higher watt charger, but I "think" the SOC / Board should refuse the extra watts...

Thank you for the response. I don't think i will take the chance then.

My apologies in advanced I know this is a Xiaomi thread but I use a 180w dell laptop charger for my P30 Lite, it charges very very quick. My phone is in excellent condition after 2.6years (plastics all intact, no scratches) maybe this is my way of saying "break it on purpose and upgrade" so I can justify the cost of a new device (I know, I'm a cheapskate).

Seriously considering the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro but im concerned with @RedViking comments about the issues. Any idea if they've improved? Since I'm in it for the long haul when I get a new device.

I bought my note 10 pro from MIA last year November on their black Friday special.

Some issues:
-The loudspeaker hasn't worked well from new during calls, people say it's very unclear, so i can't use it during calls
-The phone is huge and and bulky, not very easy to use with one hand, for me at least (my biggest issue with it, although not the phone's fault)
-During calls, when placed to your ear, the screen doesn't black out, so my ear has fun pressing random things
-Compared to my previous phone, the vibration is extremely weak, so much so that when on silent, the phone can be on my lap and often I don't even feel it vibrate. Is this just my phone?
-It occasionally (perhaps twice a month) freezes and nothing can be done for a few minutes until it decides to correct itself
-used to be fast at first, but I've noticed that it can be laggy sometimes recently
-it has overheated before, but it hasn't been as common for me as it seems to be for others
-Wifi signal pick up is weak, and doesn't automatically swap over to the strongest signal, so it needs to be manually selected, extremely annoying
-Battery was great, but over the last week I've been noticing that It's not lasting as long as before, could be increased usage though, I'll have to monitor it to see if it is that
-the phone charges extremely fast, however, yesterday after 1 hour and 15 minutes of charging it was only at 40% which is usually by when it's fully charged or almost, not exactly sure of the time. Another thing to monitor and could be related to the battery longevity

Overall it hasn't been a bad phone, display is great, camera is sufficient for my needs, but these aren't priorities for me. I don't care much for thrills and frills or the latest and greatest, so I'm not usually impressed by that.

My previous phone was a simple Huawei p30 lite, which didn't skip a beat in over 2 years, just like my previous Huaweis. Wish there wasn't a play store issue with their phones, really wouldn't mind moving back.

I'm going to do a warranty claim for my speaker issue soon, I've been putting it off for too long. How has the experience been dealing with MIA for warranty claims?

Xiaomis are great phones for the money, and everyone I know that has one has been extremely happy with theirs. I don't think I'll be buying one again, and that's just me...

Been fine on warranty claims, sounds like you got a dud. My son's and my wife's has had no issues, even with my wife's falling into the pool.
Gave it a good week of drying time and a reset and it was good to go

Thanks, will log a warranty claim and I'll update here if there's any issues. Everyone else I know is happy with their note 10 pro, and any other Xiaomi models, so yes most probably a dud.

Xiaomi stopped putting physical proximity sensors in most of their phones. My Mi 9T had a physical sensor and worked perfectly during calls. My Poco F3 has the virtual sensor and if I don't hold the phone against ear and cheek, screen turns on during a call. But I have just taught myself to press the phone against my cheek to avoid the issue. Does mean you can't do the head&shoulder trick during a call to free both hands - screen will definitely come back on.

Has anyone managed to back up their phone using Xiaomi PC suite? Can't seem to get it to work, says that I need to update my device, even though I'm on the latest available update. Seems like quite a common problem... Solutions?

Update: I called MIA last week Friday, was told to email them which I did immediately after. No response up until now
