Xiaomi Note 3 now R1899

Top top plastic rear section at the rear of my device has started creaking on my device. Anybody else?
 
So I have come to the conclusion that GeekBuying sucks.

After the trouble of them asking for pictures of credit card and ID which forced me to use paypal, they still have not delivered after 1 month!

Its been in the country from the 29th of October but no updates on 17track.net

I tried to call the post office to get a local tracking number but the line is always engaged

Email [email protected] and ask for a local tracking number - they tend to reply in about 2 days

The delays are usually local.
 
I used Geekbuying, ordered mid October and got my Redmi Note4 Pro from Customs in Cape Town on Friday, had to pay R400 cause I took the bundle deal

Phone is great for what I paid, feels premium, storage for days and MIUI UI is great. The long wait was worth it, I panicked a but cause there was no movement on the package for a week but once it landed it cleared customs quite quickly over here.

Registerred mail or courier? I orderred a cover on 25th September and it's not here yet

Mine was registered mail and 17track says it has arrived in RSA
 
Im stuck between choosing the Redmi Note 2 and Note 3. Both have their pros and cons. Just cant decide.

Thats the SA post side of things. Once it leaves the foreign country it arives within a day or two and then gets chucked in a big pile of boxes where it lays for weeks on end without being scanned in before making it to customs. My note3 is also in there somewhere awaiting to be scanned into "arivals". 17track will work again after its been scanned into sapo the first time.

I'm on the developer ROM for MIUI, meaning there are weekly updates.

For the past 3 weeks other Mi devices got updates but not the Redmi Note 3 SE. I hope that doesn't mean the end of the line for MIUI updates for us

he loves it!!

He has had it for a couple of months now and I asked him the other day if he is still enjoying his phone and he said yep it is great. He did however come from a Zest :crylaugh:

I actually just purchased a redmi 3s for my wife this morning, so will see what that is like when it gets here.

I expected a delay but 2 weeks is much longer than I expected
