My friend wants to buy a Xiaomi. I've been trying to select DHL on Gearbest but for the life of me I can only select Expidited and there's no option or window thereafter for DHL or FedEx. I know I've seen it before... Even tried different browsers. Or has something changed?

Help!
Expedited is dhl

Thanks man. Yeah he stalled too long on that one and now it's sold out. And this doofus wants black

Erm the one I linked is black, and still available, just not 64gig

Go watch the video's I had a Mediatek that I sold to get a SD, SD waaaay better.

Edit: Helio X20 has burst speed bonus but heats up quick and slow down, also eats battery power. SD is a fraction slower but does not heat up so can sustain speed and also does not kill the battery as quick.

Hmmm let me put all this to him and check that availability

I'm on mobile atm so I'm not sure what's going on here...

Oook Kay..... Did not see that coming, personally I would still wait, or order SD so long
But that is just me.

Look nothing wrong with the Helio X20 one. I sold mine to a friend that is very happy with the phone, its just that I was looking for a toy to flash a lot and Snapdragon has way more support. With that I found the other benefits.

Edit: On the browser its says Dispatch: Ships between Apr 18 - Apr 20 so I guess they don't have stock in the warehouse so have to source before they ship.

For what it's worth I also had to wait for my Note 4 to ship, so I guess that demand is high at the moment.

But I second going for the SD variant, as you will definitely get better battery life and better third party developer support throughout the product's lifetime

Don't worry I know the feeling. Busy getting one for another friend as well (in fact its at Depo waiting for Tuesday delivery at the office) He took a whole week to decide on which one he wanted. Eventually settled on http://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_620057.html?wid=4

Its DHL, just use the strait DHL $39 on the second page on checkout:

Edit: Erm, why you going for Mediatec and not Snapdragon?
Example http://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_613145.html?wid=21
Edit2: I know my link is 32 gig instead of 64 but trust me its a better buy esp seeing that you can dual sim hack a SD card if you want 2 sims with 64 gig.

I bought the Xiaomi Note 4 64 GB with the Mediatek X20 in October last year. I am extremely happy with this CPU and phone. I am NOT a gamer, and I don't sit on my phone all day, so my battery gives me 1.5 - 2 days between charges, no problem. Speed is snappy, no lag noticeable on any of the apps I use.

I guess choice between Snapdragon and Mediatek, boils down to how you use a phone.

Chaps, I'm looking at getting a pretty entry level android phone to use as a remote for my mi Box, and for WhatsApp video and calling. Probably unlikely to even take it out of the house. Apologies if this has been asked, but what's the difference between the note 3/4/4A. Will the 4A suffice for my very basic needs.

What is your budget? The 4a should do just fine for your needs. Do you need an iR blaster?

Don't feel like spending much over R2k. Probably don't need the IR. I am getting it delivered to Dubai so not so worried about losing the device to SAPO or customs.

If I were you I would go for the device with the most efficient battery life seeing as you will be using it mostly untethered.

No use in getting a super powerful device that's a battery hof if all you are going to be doing is video calling and using it as a remote.

My 2c :)
