Eina bliks... jumped into the thread to see what you on about. Now I know why I pay the extra for insurance + DHL, makes me not worry about crap like that.

Now you know why I should be stressing - I've ordered plenty of items from overseas stores with added insurance and never once have I had an issue.

With my luck I'll be buying a brand new Redmi Note 4 for a lucky scaly individual at JIMC :crylaugh:

xrapidx I was thinking of you earlier on (no homo) when they had a talk on 5FM about the best phone at the R2k mark.

They reckoned the Redmi 4a is the one to beat as it boasts an 'unmolested Android experience' (I gather they meant MIUI vs the likes of TouchWiz), a large crisp screen, decent camera and excellent battery life.

Your findings?

So far it seems ok - running the Google Now Launcher - think it'll do the job, I don't need it for much.

Trying to find a decent app that'll let me manage the sims - I want my work one to turn off after hours.

In other news:

Just got my customs bill, pity I gave my company address for delivery else I would have had the phone delivered tomorrow.
Total cost for Note 4X, DHL shipping & customs = R3517, not bad for a SD650 3/32 gig phone.

Edit: Reckon about R300 = Zuma Tax, my Note 4X was about R3200 all inclusive just 2 weeks ago

I ordered a Miband 2 on the 6 March and received it 10 April so just over a month from date of order to date of delivery. Most of that time it sat at Customs.

My friend wants to buy a Xiaomi. I've been trying to select DHL on Gearbest but for the life of me I can only select Expidited and there's no option or window thereafter for DHL or FedEx. I know I've seen it before... Even tried different browsers. Or has something changed?
