NOS vs LineageOS - anyone here who's had both and can tell us which is better and why?

I've had LOS, NOS and Resurrection Remix.
Lineage OS is pure AOSP. No modifications. Plain and simple.
Nitrogen OS is pretty much the same with a few extra personalisation options mixed in. Couple this with Radon Kernel and you have a killer combo.
Resurrection Remix has a ton of personalisation options added to AOSP. More than you probably will know what to do with all of them. Only reason I changed was at the time the camera performance was lacking.
I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. It's just that NOS for me does everything I need. Active maintainer and has nightly updates. With Radon I constantly hit 8hrs screen on lasting me 2 days without charging.

Thanks for that. I see Franco Kernel has been released for the Kenzo which promises great batterylife.
Also been considering going the Dual Boot route - but it seems your first/base ROM must be MIUI, then you can add NOS or such as secondary..

Fk doesn't support root out of the box. You have to unroot your rom and then do some other stuff to get it working. Too much effort for me.
Did you get screen protectors? The Xiaomi screens are a bit delicate.Ordered at 10AM on takealot, and just received it

Any specific one you can recommend?
I have the Tuff-Luv one on my Redmi Note 2. The MIA one might be better as that's specially for the local Redmi Note 3.

Note 4 X back on MIUI Stable, both NOS and LinageOS have small bugs, that I recon will be sorted once we get the Kernel source as promised.
Gess for now I'll make my Mi5 the flashing toy and keep Note as Primary stable phone.
