XMPP clients (which one would you recommend)

Hi All, as part of my email hosting I get an XMPP chat server, would like to use that, I have done quite a bit of reading and it seems Conversations.im is a really good app for that, I am using F-droid as I have installed LineageOS without MicroG, are there any others I should consider?

(Any thoughts on IOS clients also welcome).

Heya, Conversations is definitely the defacto XMPP client these days (I would argue off all XMPP-based messengers but it's Android-only sadly), especially if you want to use OMEMO encryption. All its forks are pretty niche so you don't have to worry about them too. On iOS, this is a bit messy but ChatSecure is the most robust of the bunch, Monal and Astra have their fair share of issues and all of them have spotty OMEMO support, but if that's not a concern it's alright.
