Yar! Thar be pirates!

Anyone who says they arent pirates and who actively troll to condemn piracy ( there are, for some reason, alot of them here ) need to re-evaluate their mental status-quo, but i guess every forum needs the douchebag patrol.

If you are / ever have been part, of the infamous douchebag patrol, do yourself a favour and glide on over to one of the numerous torrent sites and search for "Steal this film". Hopefully it will save ya'll from your very real deluded corporate-humping state of trance.

I do buy originals when it comes to games, you know those "classic" editions? The R100 ones? I bought R500 worth of those 2 weeks ago because thats what im willing to pay for games, not one cent more than that.

Too many people take their cut before the games get to our shelves. I rate that the middle men are killing the industry... not the pirates.

I wont pay for a illigal game, i'll copy it but I refuse to let some one else get paid for something that is not theirs.... so in my eyes pirates and distributers are the same. Just one has a shiny sticker that says "leagal copy" on it.

R700 for a game is a total rip, pc/console games don't need all the marketing hype, they have their own models for advertising...
I vote with my wallet. Don't tell me what I should expect to pay for a game

You know arguing this is pointless? The deed is done now. PC gamers have already burned their bridge and are going to have to live with MMO's and hand me downs. There's no escaping that, and no amount of arguing will change it, it's too late. Margins, middlemen, costs, exchange rates it's all irrelevant now.

If you want the good retail stuff it'll be on Console, and maybe, once the Developers have made their money, they'll port to PC.

No amount of mental gymnastics or clever use of the the English language is going to change that.

This thread is quite sad. Piracy is wrong, no matter why you do it. The bugger robbing your house also think he's justified to do so. I'm not claiming to have only legal software on my machine, but own up to it, pirated content is illegal.

When I pirate stuff the money goes to Telkom, yes that is right bandwidth isn't free. Console games on the otherhand are way too expensive.

Although I don't share my copies with anyone.

That is one less sale.
