Hi everyone;

So I knew of mybroadband but it was not until this day that I actually saw the forum had a gaming section... -.-

You'd think I live under a rock..heh..well...I kind of do. But this is not Patrick.

Okay so instead of talking about a whole lot of nothing, here's the thing:

I was raised in a gaming household (childhood = large amounts of Seeegaaa) and it has always been a source of fun & relaxation.
I used to be a console gamer - but then I graduated and moved to Cape Town for a job early 2013 - and sadly, had to leave my systems behind.
A year later after finances settled, I had a gaming PC built (various reasons). I still use an xbox controller where I can however. :)

BUT with joining the land of PC gaming & stabilizing funds came Steam. And the attraction to multiplayer games grew.
I've always been a solo gamer but discovered the fun of gaming with others.

I'm pretty open to the idea of gaining some Steam / Online gaming partners to have gaming sessions or set events every now and then.
I got some people in the office to be interested in this idea, but we're only 3 so far. Who would be interested in something like this?

I don't mind different types of games to try out but I am more into some good invovling FPS and action RPG games, or strategy etc...not as interested in WOW's type of gaming, for example..if that makes sense. But hey - if that's what we start out with or try, then so be it. All about being diverse, right?

Have a good Friday!

Welcome

There's also MyBB's sister site Mygaming :)

Hello!

O rly? Damn I should really look around more - thank you for informing me PsyWulf :)

Hello @ Electric, I haven't tried that yet. This is also why I think co-op with others would be good, they may recommend really good games I haven't tried yet. I have been gone so long I'm in 'catching up' mode at this stage.

It's a free-to-play steam fps in the vein of Quake with emphasis on weapon upgrades.
Fast twitch shooter essentially.
Nothing incredible but very fun none-the-less.

Playing any Path of Exile?

Add me on steam if you want, RexTrueform.

I've also just recently got back into the whole gaming thing, with Steam being my current major supplier of crack......

Haven't really bothered with "co op" related gaming as I've been put off by lag in the past, however am now on a 10mb line, so suppose it's worth a try again.

What games are you currently playing Mika, wouldn't mind looking into them for now.

PS.... I've tried Path of Exile , but that lag was horrible :(

Have they added any new maps to that? I played shortly after release and the lack of variety in maps quickly irritated me, despite the rest of the game being good.

DayZ standalone is an involving FPS, and excellent to coop with friends. There's also Battlefield 4 for more casual arcadey fun.
Popular RPGs would be Diablo 3 or Path of Exile (free to play).
