Year End Functions

Our year end functions have never been bad. Honestly I cannot complain at all about them, except that sometimes the company feels like it has to give us something, and then they give that responsibility to the worst person.

2011 - Our branch went to a small B&B in the midlands and had a really relaxed lunch there. If I remember the ladies got some decent skin cream and the men all got some swiss pocket knives.

2012 - Went to another local B&B. This time the CEO actually joined us with his new wife. We all got Lindt chocolate as a gift, and a meal that wasn't too bad. Once again it was short and the boss always treats everyone fairly.

2013 - The plan is to go the The Barnyard in Gateway for some live show. It looks promising, this time the CEO's new wife is planning it for us.
My Supervisor is planning another function just for our department (Development). And this is something I'm really looking forward to. For one, he's planning some white water rafting, followed by some mini golf. And we're ending it off with as much craft beer and pizza as is possible.

That's really rich! Especially coming from a lot of people who spend their workdays on this forum, proving my theory that most loaf at work and have lots of time to become members of the company social club/clique. They they cry that they are getting no increases/bonuses. LOL .

If most were really working, there would be no time to hang around here and craft posts that contain complex language with an insulting payload.

I enjoy what I do for a living thanks, because I choose not to mix with the people there does not make me any less of a person. I do it for two reasons, because I enjoy what I do, and because it puts food on the table. I do not have to be their friends, I have enough friends thanks very much. So this is the deal- I can choose whom I want to socialize with, and if it makes you happy to make everyone your friend at work, then so be it. I know better though, and will not do it. I have been burnt before when these relationships don't go as planned. But moreover, the biggest thing for me is, its a friggen company, NOT a friggen bar, or nightclub or playground, even though most seem to think its high school

Maybe it is because YOU are the douchebag at work? And you are the only common denominator at all these k@k jobs, with the k@k bosses and douchebag work colleagues...

I have also had people like you work for me in the past. Pure negative energy that just tries to drag everybody around you down...nothing is ever your fault, always the fault lies with everyone and everything around you.
