Yes, another Evetech rant

That's very shoddy of them. They should accept responsibility and refund the difference or exchange it asap. Totally unprofessional to send the wrong item. Sure, the two items are similar. But this is the electronics industry. You sell the exact same product you list. You don't substitute it for something similar. I refuse to do business with a company like that. Swines.

Absolute scum.

Buy from Wootware Next Time.

Interesting, looks like they are now ready to swop the board. Will keep updated.

I actually like wootware but the price was too good to miss :( CPU was going for R999

Was a very good price :o

I might just have been tempted too. But obviously they had a reason for selling it this low ;) How many do you think they sold and how many was as sharp as you?

All very well, but who wants to jump through so many hoops just get what you paid for.

I hope people reading this threads about Evetech apply their minds and see that even paying a bit more at a reputable seller like Woodward etc you get much better value for money, and anyone earning a few R100/hr it's a total no brainer to work out buying from Evetech will cost you significantly more than any other seller in the long run.

Time = money
Evetech = stratospheric cost to the buyer. Nevermind your sanity run ragged after having to deal with such dodgy characters.

PC builders generally know exactly what parts they are ordering and getting ;).

I was lucky, only picked it up when I tried to run the hardware through the AMD program to claim the games :p When they said it wasn't valid, I had a much closer look at what was shipped otherwise I probably would have missed it.

Sidenote, there are two types of AMD promotions: one with keys given by supplier and one where a program scans your hardware. Evetech subscribe to the first and I was attempting to do the second as I did not know and hadn't received my keys. Have those now at least.

So you were aware of their crap service and went ahead anyway? Hmmm.. okay then.

Nope, had quite a few mates who have brought from them with no issues. The problem seems to be after sales support.

I bought about R15k worth of components from Evetech on BF and fetched it over the weekend. Not a single issue, in fact they called and asked if I'd be willing to wait some more or accept a R800 more expensive replacement as the GPU on my order was out of stock.

Recommended a system to a buddy of my brother a few months ago, also zero issues.

I've had my fair share of issues with retailers but I doubt Evetech is as devil spawn as mybroadband likes to make them out to be.

I've heard similar from mates hence why I gave the benefit of the doubt but my patience is up.

So now they've changed their minds again. Insist that the order stands as correct. Guess I'm going to have to go the CPA and ASA route.

*edit* complaint lodged. I see they mention social media so I will stop posting regarding this pending outcome of the complaint.

ASA is a complete waste of time and you'll get nothing out of it.

Ouch.

OP: The 970A-G43 PLUS is only arriving late Jan / early Feb according to the distributor of MSI. So unless stock was originally available it won't be available until then.

It's advertised as in stock on their site unless more folks are being misled. See prior screenshots.
