Wrong on all counts,
If you are a Black, many, as a black cannot be racist and he will always get a second chance as the last time will never count.
If your are white, 0 (zero). As anything you do or say against a black will define you as a racist.
If you are a White Afrikaner, it does not count as you just are deemed racist. Pronto!

However, I think some of you guys (except isuacner; he beliefs his racist logic) are deliberately misinterpreting the definitions to suit your own agenda, which tries to dictate that the act of the white woman calling a black young man ****** is not racist, as there are other words which also denote race but are not derogatory and furthermore black people are too sensitive!!!!!! Taking the issue in terms of South Africa given its history and the fact that those particular words are not derogatory makes your arguements at best ludicrous and comical.

I know the meanings of the words. My black friends that I grew up with taught them all to me. They call me Ntati Lekgoa. For me that is respect from then. The point is the way it is used.
In the same way the word ****** means non believer. Sayning you don't believe what I believe. So what? It is the way in which it is said once again.

As for the woman's intentions? It's all in the mind of the interpreter. If you think it was racist then you must have the racists mind to see it. If you cannot see racism in that then maybe you don't think like a racist anymore.

What she said could be speculated in hundreds of ways and the only true person who knows what she meant would be her. Personally I speculate that she simply wanted to hurt him with words and she used what she knew would have an impact.

She was nasty and angry. Who gets time to contemplate the whole social political impact of a word when you are angry. The fact that he wanted to continue with his lawsuit after she paid her fine also proves that he now wants to cash in on the victim side of racism. This makes him just as racist as his interpretation of the remark.

If he really was not racist he would not be concerned about it at all. If I really am not a racist you can intentionally throw your worst words directly at me and I will just think you are acting funny.

Tell you what Eug, try this little exercise for us, tomorrow morning drag yourself off to the closest shopping mall, randomly ask about 100 black men and women this question, '' hey ****ing ******, why are you not in church this morning?"

If you still alive on Monday morning, report back to this forum with your findings...

Well if a non-racist says that to a racist, then he will interpret it as a racist, which was the point Eugene66 was making. Most people will ignore the person for being a tool.
So your point is some of the 100 black men or woman will kill a white man for saying ******? At least 1 in 100 black people is a murderer? Sounds a bit prejudiced but hey I'm just paraphrasing you.

Clearly you missed the whole point of his argument. I agree with him, you can use the word in different contexts and it won't be racist. The intention and the circumstances should be evaluated. The person to whom it is aimed and how he reacts is also important.

His point is, a person inherently racist, will automatically assume any use of the word ****** is racist.

Please reread his post, slowly, carefully, you did not read with comprehension.
