Trust me, the Vantec/Corsair PSUs mentioned are much better quality (and efficiency) than the CM Extreme Power. "Extreme Power" is CM's entry-level range. Rather look at the CM GX 550watt for a better quality CM PSU.

Efficiency is important. a 600watt PSU @ 80% efficiency will produce more power than a 650watt PSU @ 70% efficiency. CM Extreme Power is only ±70% efficient, where the Vantec, Corsair and CM GX are 80% efficiency certified... All of which will power your rig easily.

Lol, ye KhoisanX I know. But i like the way it looks, probly wont end up getting that anywaz. Just wanted to use it so I had something to compare to (size etc) when choosing the actual one. Didn't realize that PostmanPot thanks for pointing that out. Will defiantly look into it and choose another PSU sometime tonight and prolly another case for KhoisanX :).

Take that 1.1k, and save a little bit of money to it every month... Around Q4 of this year Intel will be releasing their G3 SSD's ... buying one of them and reinstalling your OS on one of them, will be the biggest upgrade on your entire system.
Its strange that you have so many awsome parts in there, yet the slowest part of the system is totally disregarded... strange, but thats just my 2 cents.

Dont use that 1.1k now and buy any SSD's currently on offer... wait for the G3... it will be worth it.

Ditch one of the hard drives and get an SSD for your OS drive.
 
Qwiksilver i I Have already ditched one of my HDD, thus the 1T only. I really like this SSD idea and if it is possible (Im reclaiming from insurance) I probably will do that. I was thinking of maybe getting DDR3-2000 8gigs which will cost me a additional R526. Which will leave me with R600 so I dont know how much more the SSD will cost when it comes out or if it is even worth upgrading the Ram to DDR3-2000. I promise you this will me my last query, for all those who have suffered through my 200 questions :D

No point getting any ram faster than 1333. No point 8gigs either. With i7 it uses tri channel memory meaning you must get 6gigs not 8.
 
Thanks Qwikslver, that just saved me 800 rand. Gonna keep the DDR3-1855 though seeing that it is going for so unbelievably cheap (R280/gig). Oooo that means I got an extra 2 grand to spend.
 
Perhaps a bigger ATX mobo? Micro ATX mobos can get a little cramped (although the Asus R2G is probably designed well). With the bigger mobo you could then look at a bigger case with more room Cooler Master HAF 932. Bear in mind it's pretty big and heavy so won't make for easy transporting. But it's a very popular case with lots of ventilation for good cooling.

Also as mentioned early you should go for a mobo with USB 3 and SATA 6G as these are the latest features which you have the budget for. There are 3 options from ASUS ranging for R3100 to R4900 - ASUS P6X58D-E, ASUS P6X58D, ASUS Rampage 3 Extreme. All ATX size. They are also future proof as they support next gen Intel 6 core CPUs.
