My first was a Maxon.

Down memory lane :p I proudly owned an Ericsson GA 628. My only complained came after I saw a Nokia. the difference was the screen size. A Nokia had a bigger screen and could show more information lines, whereas my Ericsson showed only one line. Other than it was well designed...

Yes an Ericsson GA 628 with those interchangable covers, red yellow & blue was my first handset.

my first phone was some super "slim" erricson Brick. I cant find it on google now. and I cant remember the model (hense not finding it on google)

it was pretty cool, 4 lines of text, thinner than the 3310, and about the size of the note lol.

from there i went to a motorola colour screen
then a Samsung with 90 mb of memory! one of those slide phones
then a sony with a front facing camera, because video calling was the next big thing.
then I had a sony again, front facing camera again, also a slider
then an S2
then and S4

Haven't we been down this road?Anyway, mine was Alcatel something something like this.

And seriously, what's up with the 2 ISP CEO's?A feature phone and a...ZEST!What the hell?What's/who is ZEST?Tried google just now and came up with nothing.

Where is the Nokia 5110?? That phone, together with the 3310 were the **** back in the times :) Telkom CEO and the Cybersmart CEO... :( :(

I see the iPhone 5/5s is popular amongst the big boys...

I had a Nokia 6310i as my first phone...it had bluetooth and shockingly, GPRS.

I wonder if when mybb recycles this same article in 5/10 years time whether the demographics of the forum would have changed enough for people to say ..
First: Samsung Galaxy s6
Current: Galaxy Iphone X

Geez, this has made me realise I have spent far too much money on phones in the last 20 years....I might have left some out, but this is what I can remember

Motorola --- 1994
Pioneer half flip phone on special from Game 1994/5
Nokia 2110
Nokia 3110
2 x Nokia communicators
Samsung E600 - longest battery life I have seen - about a month on a charge
Samsung E700
2 x Samsung D900i
Benefon (first phone with GPS)
Garmin NavTalk (only GPS phone from Garmin ?)
Sony Erikson P900 ?
Sony Erikson P910 ?
iMate K-Jam
iMate Jas Jar - nice phone, horrible OS
iPhone (original one from USA)
iPhone 3G
iPhone 3GS
iPhone 4
Samsung S3
2 x Samsung Note 3 (current phones)

I still have most of the phones here. I am going to try fire up the old Nokia communicator (the in-phone of its time) and grin at the specs - I see it still has a Nokia branded 8 mb (MB not GB) memory card in it !!

Oh - the Samsung e600 clamshell phone, after 8 years of lying in the cupboard still switches on and is showing 3/4 battery left

Shïtty battery lasted all of 18 hours (provided you didn't call anyone). Lost it at Soccer City during France 98 qualifier for Bafana.
