What about the cleaning of the toilets? I remeber from where I used to work a long time ago, a truck used to come in every few days to pipe all the s**t out and it was not a small truck.
 
Have been doing surveys for a few k a year. Also started an affiliate thing but don't know if it's something about the site or the products because out of over two thousand clicks nobody except me have bought anything. :weird:

Surveys? Where?

Most of them seem like utter spam to me and you must do like 4000 of them to earn 10 dollars.

Would love this if there were a reputable company.

Toluna, Panelstation, Enlightenpanel etc. Most pay about R10 per survey plus a compensation even if you don't qualify so it's hardly like you have to do hundreds to earn something. Trick is to use multiple sites so payouts are often.
 
my second income became my primary income 3 years ago- my rental income covers my monthly living expenses

then I do others things, basically my hobbies are self financing such as toys, music, cars and financial asset speculation etc

also considering playing with more property, will see how that goes

How many properties do you own? How long did it take you to pay them off?

I have two (three if you count my parking bay for which I pay seperate rates and levies). The first I bought with my adventures with cars, paid cash for it. To build up the capital took about 7 years.

The second I bought with a bond, that took 4 years to settle.

I still have two cars left, hoping to swop them for parking bays, will see how that goes.

Potential: 20 million people get to work daily using taxi's. If every person downloaded the app and paid just R1 per year for the use, that could give a you 20 million rand a year!

Not everybody has smartphones. Relax on the "20 million people" idea and besides that, not everybody has the data to download or even run the app.

Revenue isn't profit. Rumour is they are running at a loss and looking how many other sites that were doing way better disappeared I'd say he is right.
 
Consultancies can provide a good income, have little overheads but you must know what you are doing, and be able to do the job you consult on, to spot bad work being done

I ran an alarm/intercom/access control/locksmith/cctv business for 38 years and had hands-on experience in all of them

I now visit homes and flats in construction and advise the developer what options are available, arrange suitable quotations, vet them (sort out the bs from the true) and if necessary make sure the jobs are proceeding properly

For a full access control and security consultation, say on a 12 unit apartment block it would be R 10 000, if I have to supervise the contractors (and they without fail all require supervision) it is R 5000 per month per contractor, but I do not take on more than 2. You need to develop a good rapport with the builder and persuade him that you are here to assist, not to look over his shoulder. Of the several hundred builders I have met, I would say 3 are good ones, the others manage, just and the rest go from useless to ok on a good day (when everyone turns up)

I am buying a apartment that I want to rent out. Hopefully in the next 3-5 years I will have maybe another 2 and maybe 10 years time start looking at commercial property.
