Before I decided to emigrate I was very keen to hire a house and rent out furnished rooms on a daily basis to three to four freelance, upmarket 'massage therapists' at R500/day each (cash). Id service the rooms with linen and fresh towels and basic amenities.

INCOME
R2,000/day
R14,000/week
R48,000/month
R576,000/year

EXPENSES
Rent R15,000/month
Maid to clean rooms R2,500/month
Maintenance/Furnishings R5,000/month
Water and Electricity R2,500/month
MONTHLY COSTS - R28,000/month

Income R48,000 per month, minus expenses of R25,000 per month = R23,000 cash in hand.

Later, I'd cookie cut this model into other niche suburbs and cities and then hire someone to manage them all for me.

But alas, I'm leaving SA for new shores in March.

'massage therapists'
By that you mean those that give you more than you bargained for?

What he asked ^

To put it bluntly, is it a brothel?

Why would a massage therapist rather pay R48,000 a month rather than paying R15,000 a month? Why would they pay R33,000 more?

You made a killing though, good on you.

There are four of them.

So R12000, not R48000.

Also he didn't actually do it.

He charges R48,000k a month, but pays R15,000 a month in rent.

Making a killing is relative I suppose.

Yes. To four of them.

With other related services on top of the rent.

Per individual pays less. And doesn't have any hassle.
