what was the total order value? Around R2000 would make the R494.52 reasonable.Order value of the one package, R240, tax value 494.52
Yes that's all I paid, but that was for 10 of the 97 I ordered. I got other requests for tax payments around R400 each waiting for patientwhat was the total order value? Around R2000 would make the R494.52 reasonable.
Have you so far only paid the R494.52?
I get that you are having a hard time with the multiple billings, but R400 tax on a R1600 order is 25% which appears to be on par for these orders. This is my order but was separated into 11 packages with different quantities
yes, it looks like they are charging tax on the total order for every parcelThis is my order but was separated into 11 packages with different quantities

with the latest email you got to pay the taxes on the 2nd parcel, is there not a invoice/document that you can download to see what the value of the parcel is?Yes that's all I paid, but that was for 10 of the 97 I ordered. I got other requests for tax payments around R400 each waiting for patient
Unfortunately not, all you get is pieces in the package and it's always the split amount, not the total.with the latest email you got to pay the taxes on the 2nd parcel, is there not a invoice/document that you can download to see what the value of the parcel is?
But that would still put this at over R100 percent tax rate? Customs is 22 percent on orders under R500 from what I remember, if looking at each package individually so that's at most R80 for a pack of 10, then not sure if they adding vat yetThey base the tax amount on the R4000.
EDIT: Remove the attachment/picture - it has your contact/address details.
There is definitely something screwed up, as someone else mentioned they have attached the same commercial invoice with the same order total to each shipment so Buffalo customs is billing you the duties you would pay for the entire order onto each separate shipment. It’s a pity you paid any duties thus far because you may need to discard all the shipments because trying to make sense with Buffalo or Temu may be difficult. Then you may be able to go the chargeback method to get your money back from what you paid for the order.Order value of the one package, R240, tax value 494.52
494.52 / 4038 = 12.24%? Or am, I missing something? Are you saying ONE parcel was R240 and got charged R494.52 - and you still have to pay for the other (4038-240) of parcels? But that would still put this at over R100 percent tax rate? Correct although the amount varies based on how many in each parcel. 8 in a parcel, 400, 10, 494.52. so they are charging roughly 50 rand tax for each unit, which cost R24 after discount offered.494.52 / 4038 = 12.24%? no, I think the tax will be on either R2328 or R1678494.52 / 4038 = 12.24%? Or am, I missing something? Are you saying ONE parcel was R240 and got charged R494.52 - and you still have to pay for the other (4038-240) of parcels?
I would agree, I work for accountants and tax is calculated on invoice amount paid, not original amount before any discounts are given. I paid 1678 amount, not R4000.no, I think the tax will be on either R2328 or R1678
have all the parcels now got separate Buffalo tracking data?I would agree, I work for accountants and tax is calculated on invoice amount paid, not original amount before any discounts are given. I paid 1678 amount, not R4000.
Buffalo got this wrong somewhere
Correct you are only are liable for duties on the actual invoice amount paid.I would agree, I work for accountants and tax is calculated on invoice amount paid, not original amount before any discounts are given. I paid 1678 amount, not R4000.

I called, but the call centre staff don't understand how taxes work, because she said it's Sars tax rates and that's all she knows. So I have a email chain now which ended with me asking their accounting department to call me. The email chain contains answers to questions never asked, generic responses etc.have all the parcels now got separate Buffalo tracking data?
How did you contact Buffalo? What number/email? Maybe send them a copy of the Temu Receipt that you can get off the Temu website - that should highlight that your order total includes 11? parcels
I am still stacking food and not feeding as my current completion percentage is around 94.2%
The daily rates have normalised as i was getting 50g food for just entering fishland and now it's down to 10g but have like 11k worth of food
My goal is to secure enough food to be able to secure each weeks feed to win leaderboard
Yeh, that's my understanding of how it's supposed to work - but from experience, that's not how these guys are doing it (Buffalo, SkyNet, etc).no, I think the tax will be on either R2328 or R1678
