I am not seeing the pay tax webpage you are referring to where it shows a basic customs invoice on my side. can you take a screenshot and show me where it is?
I have made MANY Temu orders, but they were all physically quite small, so not in my case
Happened to me once, although customs was calculated correct, except you pay the clearance fee twice.

Temu emails you when the tax is due, something with a subject like "Your Temu package cannot be delivered"
There's a link in there and when you click on it it will take you to a page with a basic breakdown of what they are applying the duty to. Same as the screenshot below
And then below that is a link to download a proforma invoice but the breakdown above is what we need to see so we can determine what they are working out the duties on:
It is no different than what I sent you previously, it will just say 7 x fence for example

Sorry my mistake, but all it says is fence X whatever quantity is in that order
Apparently there is a way to get this back from Sars. But will be discussing it with them directly and see what exactly the process is.

You will get zero refund back from them, the only time they refund is when the goods are reinspected and the customs officer realises his mistake/incorrect category assignment or you supply supporting documents for your claimed value. I would love to be wrong, but you're wasting your time with SARS - you need to kick Temu's rear - ultimately they are responsible - they selected the courier and packed and labelled the parcelsApparently there is a way to get this back from Sars. So fastway actually responded to me showing the calculations. Seems someone told Sars my items are worth R80, which inflated the tax values and there is a admin charge from the agency they use as well.
interesting! Can they fix it?
I take it the admin charge is for every parcel?
I have bought this before from Temu, totally worth it.

I ordered some charging cables and t-shirts and shorts. About 1.3k order, R460 taxes. I'm a little fcked off if I'm being honest.
I think it's probably the clothing that they zinged you for.
