Constant braking too.
My pet peeves:
- People using foglights when there's no fog. (Illegal)
- People using only parklights when their car is moving. (Illegal).
- People who stop 20m behind the next car at an intersection, then spend the next couple of minutes edging forward. Drive up to where you want to be and stop, dammit!
- Tailgaters. (Windscreen washers work well on these).
I agree 100% with all of the above. Driving with foglights is my WORST pet peev. It is not just illegal, its plain stupid and also very dangerious at night. But everyone things its "cool". I wish the traffic department would wake up and arrest them all. Its supposed to be a R300 fine for driving with fog lights on. I could make R200 000k an hour at the Rivionia turn off on a friday night.
Some of my other pet peeves are the following (there are many more though. I hate SA drivers):
- People who fly past at a split on the highway, to try dive into the front of the queue. F U.. I WILL NOT let you in
- People who dive infront of trucks at a split.. They obviously have never driven a truck or understand the basic laws of momentum.
- People who stop right on your bumper. The law states one should be able to see both back tires of the car in front of you.
- People who think stops signs in quiet area's are only to be used when they feel the need and just use them as yields.
- People who stop right next to the side of the road.. right under a "no stopping sign"
- People driving in the yellow lane because they are late.. Dont make your waking up late my emergency.
- When at a 4 way, and your turning right across traffic. The idiots on the otherside who slip in via the feedway when its not thier turn, to end up driving 20km/h in front of you.. If they were in such a hurry to push in, why dont they drive like they are in a hurry.
- People who overtake a truck, and then dont move over because of the other truck 500m away in the left hand lane. Just because the car in front is going the same speed, doesn't mean you have to make it worse. Its called an overtaking lane for a reason
- The same people who then over take the truck and then refuse to move over at all because they are driving 115km/h.. again its the overtaking lane.. NOT the "fast" lane
- Oh and in Durban.. the fact that everyone blocks up an entire road at a traffic light so when it changes, nobody form the other sides can get across.
