Bwahaha Leaf is such a farken joke! Excuses excuses and more excuses! If you're so worried about the customer paying for the firmware make it freely available at retail outlets. Person brings phone to Vodashop/Mtnshop 5minutes later he walks out with froyo or do they want to cover the petrol aswell?
Title is misleading.. It only covers HTC devices, not my Milestone for example...
Guys, just root your phone and load a custom ROM.
Leigh said that they were in agreement with Google's reasoning. By way of example he mentioned the pitfalls of conventional PC-based upgrades which could leave a device “bricked” (useless) if it lost power or its connection to the PC during an upgrade.
hmm i wonder how those guys got the updates early.. oh i know. they rooted there device and changed the update server to the USA.![]()
Have any of you rooted your Hero yet? We are having difficulty and it seems as if it has got something to do with Leafs custom firmware. There plenty different ways to do it but all have failed for us so far.
