Sincerely hope Zim is going to see the back of Bob.. for ours and their sakes..Zimbabweans are voting in the most crucial election since their independence from Britain in 1980 with the country's veteran leader Robert Mugabe facing the biggest challenge to his 28-year-long grip on power.
Some voters slept at polling stations while others began queuing before dawn. The polls opened just after 7 o’clock and are scheduled to close at seven this evening.
A spokesperson for the Independent Zimbabwe Support Network says first indications show the turnout for today’s polls is high.
There are claims though that some people are being turned away because of confusion over new ward boundaries.
President Mugabe cast his vote in Harare this morning and rejected all accusations of rigging. He says he rates his prospects at victory as very good.
However, Harare is the opposition’s stronghold and many are desperate for change.
