Zim elections today, thoughts?

If Mugabe loses I will not believe it. Do you honestly think he is that stupid to give away his power???

I don't but if it does happen then he is way over confidant

Fact of the matter is if he wins it was not fair if he loses then yes it was fair. The whole world has said it will not be fair but our gvt as usual will put their feet in their rather large mouths and make a cock up again.

SA: Chances 'good' of free, fair Zimbabwe election [/URL]

Another half-witted ANC minister opens her mouth and garbage spews out. "Zimbabwe" and "free and fair" are simply an impossible combination. Even if mad Bob has buggered up the rigging, he will retain power via the military/cops/"war vets"/etc.

On interface theres a yes no vote poll to see if you think zim has had a free and fair elections. Its on sabc, so its going to be interesting to see what the results are.

Well we are all part of the lie...The new SA!!!

I just can't stand watching African countries melting down to absolute shiholes with other African countries condoning it!

I'm tired of reading "once prosperous" in our newspapers!

the "new" SA is going down the same direction every other fu king "once prosperous" African country went, we all see it

Announcing of Zim election results begins
Zimbabwe's electoral commission has started announcing official poll results on state television.

Reuters is reporting that the first six parliamentary constituencies announced were split between President Robert Mugabe's Zanu-PF and the opposition MDC.

AP meanwhile says that the MDC has taken an early lead, winning four out of the first six seats to be declared.

A total of 210 parliamentary seats are due to be declared as well as the result of the simultaneous presidential election.

Mail & Guardian publisher Trevor Ncube says there appear to be some irregularities regarding the results.

Ncube says the situation is tense in Zimbabwe as questions are being raised regarding the delay in announcing election results.

Meanwhile, the Southern African Development Community observer mission to Zimbabwe is standing firm on its statement that elections there have been credible and peaceful, despite defection from its own members.

The Democratic Alliance has refused to sign the statement by SADC, saying blatant evidence of rigging and intimidation were seen every day.

SADC held a press conference yesterday, saying the elections have shown the expression of the will of the people.

However, observer and DA spokesperson Diane Kohler-Barnard says everyone noticed worrying trends. She says the situation is tense.
702 eyewitness news... As always conflicting reports regarding wheather the Zim elections have been fair or not. Quite obvious to most that there hasn't been a fair election in Zim for the last 10 years..
