- both have refugees
- both have massive unemployment
- both have interest rate crises
- both love to kill their neighbour instead of love their neighbour
- both have unimaginable murder & crime rates
- both have load shedding
- both have idiots running the country
- both have a "legacy of disadvantage" that lasts generations no matter what
- both have had mass exodus of all the skilled white people
- both have corruption at all levels of gvt

only difference being that those in ZIM are not as much in deniel as those in ZIM2.0

One has a democraticaly elected Government
One has a stable currency
One has an inflation rate below 14%
One has an economy that reflects a positive growth rate
One has a world cup champion rugby team
One has a Navy (need a bit of humour here!)
One has Nobel prize winners
One has a University rated in the top 100 in the world
One is staging the 2010 world cup football
One has a booming building industry
I could go on and on and on and on and......

^^ Nice Tofee - This thread was just started to cause Sh+++t.

Comparing South Africa to Zim completly undermines the problems they are
having there!

Zim murder and crime rate is not even close to south africa's. They quite a peaceful bunch once you take out political violence as orchestrated by the ZPF.

What's the point of this thread? Is it meant to be a joke?

Originally, the point of this tread was comparing the negative aspects that Zim and SA share, which then sparked a contrast comparison on why SA is better than Zim. I would assume it's not a joke, but can been seen as humorous.

What a ridiculous thread. There is no comparison, especially from an economics perspective!

close this dumb thread down.. BTech is an idiot.

Hi All

Looking at whats happened lately, interest rates, fuel price, xenophobic violence, zim1.0, ongoing murders in ZIM2.0....

Was I right or was I wright???? Who's still in Denial????

Now that the ANC has endoresed Mbeki and basically said ZIM1.0 is the fault of Britain, who here wants to give me a big fat +1 for a change!!

Cheers...and stop being mean to me!!

Mbeki is out after 2 terms, Mugabe is still in! Thanks God we don't have a Mugabe in SA. Only if we could fight CRIME!

Yes, but Mbeki did *try* to stand for another term. Thank goodness he didn't.

I rate Thabo, I'm disappointed he hasn't stayed for another term. He was always on a beating to nothing being Nelsons predecessor. I can guarantee you when we see the presidents to follow we going to wish Thabo had stayed for another term...
