Ok so I went to see my physician after work today because it turns out that I have sleeping disorder where falling off to sleep is very difficult.

Anyway the good doc wrote me a script for these pills, and they're way cool! Just popped one about half an hour ago, and it feels kinda like you're drunk but without the heavy head. This seems to have the effect of 3 or 4 heavy shots :D

Now I know why people get hooked on sleeping tablets! Anyone here been on something similar?

Just a word of advice: Don't take it on planes - if you don't fall asleep (likely), you trip like hell and the cabin crew spend half the journey trying to keep you calm.

I used Prozac for a while, but obviously not for sleeping problems :D .

That was the best experience I ever had with any prescription drug. After a week or so, they start start kicking in, and every night at about 21:00, I could not keep my eyes open! A few nights I literally fell asleep with my cellphone in my hand, while I was busy SMSing someone. Stong stuff!!

Of course, it is not to be used as a sleeping pill. The real effect came a while later - it totally numbed my emotions in the weirdest way. I would be in a situation where the normal human reaction would be e.g. to get angry or happy, but I could feel no such emotions. Cognitively, you know how you ought to react, but it feels like you cannot summon the 'correct' emotion - there is just nothing.

Now I am happily back to being myself - emotions and all.

iv popped a few zolpidem to my own detriment!i was chatting with my sisters friends for ages.Made me feel really drunk and disorientated and chatty!

evil evil stuff!
 
Thats precisely why no doctor would be stupid enough to give you any......
 
Oh, and theres also the fact that of course, you couldn't buy them because you're too young and you'd need mommy to buy them for you....
 
I can't wait until 9:30pm! :D

The best part is you sleep like a rock afterwards, your sleep doesn't break. Anyone who is an insomniac will be in heaven!
