Yep, I agree with Slimothy here [ooops the world just came to an end - sorry :D], no seriously, Shaun seems to be genuinely trying to make iBurst a success by communicating with customers on 2 cellery phones, landline, emails [just think how many emails he must be getting per day - probably > 500]. Shaun is only human, and IMO trying to make iBurst work despite what the Executive Management do on the 15th floor.

If you want to tackle anyone then get on down to the 15th floor & randomly take your pick [just make sure you don't tackle the receptionist]...

Actually .. he IS doing everything he can .. and it was much appreciated by myself .. and quite a few others I'm sure.
If it wasnt for Shaun Green, iBurst would have lost quite a few more customers. :cool:

Slim, I have to agree with you. Since I've had it its been nothing but fantastic all the way. Only hiccups have been:

- username changed without notification
- running out of hard drive space :D
- the suspension story

The connection itself has been fantastic. I can ssh into a server in the evening and come back the next morning and I'm still logged in. I've been in an irc channel for about the last four days uninterupted. Bare in mind that I live just under a base station and have no signal problems.

WBS' management of the technology on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired.
 
I dont have any axes to grind - why dont you speak to them slimothy, seeing as you're always keen to let us know how good your service is? That way round we'll all know it cant be biased from the start?

i spoke to sasan once... i dunno if its me or what but he had a very perculiar accent, so half a minute into the conversation when i realised i had no idea wtf he was on about i just politely said yes to, what seemed like the good places to say it in.

then once he phoned me back... i pretended he got the wrong number cuz maaan i did not want to deal with that again.
 
Dunno, ppl, I just did a Telkom Speedtest, and got 100kbps.

And that's uncapped.

I do get peaks up to 40kB/s, but the tests always come back slower... :confused:
 
Check my sig. Midrand Tower, 5 little shiny lights sitting on my curtain rail. I'm about 6 kms from the tower... my USB app showed about 3 - 10% FER - back in December. :D Haven't had it on USB since then...
