He is such a tool. I wish he Grow balls and admit the government are lagging behind.

Cape Town - Backlogs in service delivery can still be blamed on apartheid, according to President Jacob Zuma.

He made this clear during his State of the Nation address on Thursday, when he quoted Portia Mrwetyana, a resident of Bekkersdal in Gauteng, as complaining that her informal settlement which had no services, lay across the road from a suburb with all amenities.

"She asks: 'What I wanna know is why treat us differently, but we give you the same vote, why?'," Zuma said.

"It’s a very relevant question.”

"What's your answer?" asked an MP from the Democratic Alliance benches.

"Apartheid caused it. And don't ask me to elaborate," said Zuma with a grin
.

He said that by 2014, 400 000 of the 1.2 million households in South Africa's informal settlements should have security of tenure and access to basic services.

"This should be welcome news to citizens such as... Mrwetyana," he said.

Oh really?

Zuma: Stop blaming apartheid
2010-04-23 14:51

Johannesburg – Failure to deliver to the people of South Africa could not be blamed on apartheid after two decades of democracy, President Jacob Zuma said on Friday, according to an SABC report.

"After two decades we will not be able to make an excuse if we do not deliver faster change in the lives of our people," Zuma told director generals and deputy director generals from national and provincial government in Esselen Park, east of Johannesburg.

What a lying p.o.s

So a vote should give you everything for free. I'm pretty sure the suburb across the street is supporting many more than those staying there.

If you folks are outraged that the A.N.C can't deliver utopia in 17 years, you must really have HATED the previous government who barely lifted a finger to help people for 70 years. I bet you were really outspoken then.

I think you'll find 90% of this forum never voted for the previous government

I actually had it quite good back then.. No complaints here.

No They had to send the US To invade us. Remember.
Do you also remember the revolution the genocide the liberation war.
The US Sent their troops the NATS had to live in bomb shelters. Churches were bombed, schools were sacrificed. The riots!!!
The NATS were blasted out of their homes the roadside bombs, the suicide bombers.
The invasion lasted 10 years, and still all the nats were not caught and executed.

Mandela himself broke out of jail. He had to swim all the way from robben Island.

IT was a terrible time. We did not even have a vote.
I agree no white ever said or voted to correct this. It is terrible. they should be sent to die in the dessert.

Of course it does! Didn't you listen to JZ's last speech?
A vote for ANC gets you into frikkin' heaven, dude! A free lunch comes cheap in comparison!

Maybe it's like one of those *** marketing e-mail thingies.
You know! Vote once for ANC and you get guaranteed access to heaven, forward on the details of 5 friends and they get free housing and amenities?

Sounds like a marketer's wet dream, if you ask me....

Did Zuma not say at one point that we should stop blaming Apartheid for all that is wrong in this country? Was a year or two ago I think...or was i on a LSD induced trip?

So now because nothing is happening on his promises, he falls back to the "Lets just blame everyting on the whitey" strategy? What a drol! President or not...he deserves no respect from the country that he is leading into disrepair! @sshole!

I don't think majority care that much about you. And you probably still have it quite good.

I do think the majority, that still votes ANC, do not even care about themselves as if they do they would change their vote, FAST, or maybe they are to illiterate to know what to vote for. As for having it good, look at all the ANC politicians and their kin, all rich fat-cats living of stolen tax funds and/or corruption.

Ja, he did say that, look at post #4. But apparently he's "only making a joke this time".

Right...

oh who really cares still? they will continue to live in poverty and continue to vote for the ANC, since they share a name with the people who actually fought for democracy and cared about the people. Yet while they sit around and moan we still make money, live in fancy golf estates and drive fast cars. And yes we have water and electricity, cause if they cut it off and we dont pay then they are screwed. Let them bitch and moan about apartheid and the struggle as long as they want, its 10am on a friday, im gona drive the 100m to the golf course in my golf cart, have a executive breakfest, play a round of golf on freshly cut grass in the sun, then chill by my pool. Whilst breathing normally.

And for the record, i never supported apartheid, since i was 5 when it ended, i also never voted for it. I just wont use it as an excuse to let my own people suffer while the money that should go them to them is used on new rims for my plane.

I don't get the point of this at all. Did you do a wobbly ? Honestly I can't make any sense of what you're tring to say here.

There we go, my point exactly, just carry on voting for the ANC :), it's your privilege and right cause Zuma said so, it's heaven you know, for the politicians, everyone else is in hell.
