Anybody watching the Zuma press conference? The guy does have a certain charm....

hmmm....wtf conradl? wtf...zuma only proves that the masses most certainly dont know whats best for them, and if he comes into power it will equate to the fall and demise of our country

Jeez, just hang on a minute. The OP does not reflect my personal political views or opinions :) I was just saying that he does have a certain charm when compared to some other presidents that we have had.....

I dont see that, to me he just come across as thick as a brick. But okay, must admit havent seen the press conference yet.

He said he will not employ his friends or people who agree with him once he is president. He said he will only appoint people who are capable of doing the job properly. I think this is something many people are wanting to hear, and the ANC will be gaining some votes after this conference.

Many people will however stick to voting for the opposition for the sake of having one, in this democracy, but I think Zuma and everybody else know who is going to win the elections anyway, so this fact might add some more believability to what he just said.

I have to LOL, anyone that falls for this needs to be given a "brain enima"!

He's very good at telling people what they want to hear. Unfortunately he hasn't yet realised how much trouble that will cause him when he's president.

So is he going to fire himself?

What trouble ? "At one time you can't believe... you seem to have misunderstood the context of what was said" Zuma when challenged on all the promises not delivered on.
Political parties make promises all the time just to get votes and are never held accountable

My concern isn't so much about the people he surrounds himself with when he becomes president (it is obviously still very concerning). My concern is what he does to the Media and Judiciary in this country. He is definitely not a fan of the former, and I reckon he will definitely hand pick the concourt judges to suit his agenda...

Although the opposition is vital in any democracy, the true check and balance of a free and open democracy is a free and open press. The biggest challenge for Zoomer will be to restrain his wrath towards the press. Somehow, I don't think he will hesitate to curb their freedom, in which case this democracy is rendered meaningless.

Dear Conrad

Do you prefer a hard-working, honest, reliable, decent, law-abiding president who is as dull as dishwater,

OR

Do you prefer a lying, scheming, conniving, thieving and corrupt president who possesses "a certain charm" ?
