Racist Facebook group student expelled

On what grounds?

"The disciplinary committee has found that the conduct of this student was a transgression of these rights and that his actions were detrimental, or had the potential of being detrimental to the good name of the university,"

as the article states about three times, if you had bothered to look. Quite right too.

The University probably does not want to be seen as condoning racism I would guess.

good news.. the name of the vasity was at stake.

What? No mention of farm murders or 'reverse racism'? This is a first.

Well he was being racist openly so he deserves it.

Problem with farm murders is its hard to point out the cause is racism, instead of just hatred for the farmer. And the government wouldn't like racism to be found as the cause of it.

I have no problem with this at all. I just wonder what happened to the group of black dudes who started a group on Facebook called Kill The Whitey? I'm surprised anyone with so few braincells actually makes it as far as Uni...

This was main news on SAFM tonight 6H00 whilst the human tragedy in Zim was buried a couple of stories later. This country's priorities is totally screwed up.

No you right I don't get it. I would imagine the Facebook page has the University name all over it, other than that, its a Facebook problem. Quite a reach from Facebook to University otherwise.

well, it doesn't really matter what anyone thinks. The University dealt with it. The student was expelled. Now he can go and post as much racist drivel as he wants to his hearts content.

What a bunch of baboons. These North West people just don't know when to stop. Maybe it's something in the water over there.

Do you have any sense of irony? Narrow-mindedness transcends geographic location, apparently even as far as Strand, WK.

So what? Farm murders and "reverse racism" somehow justifies what these guys did? If you're starting your debate from that premise than you'll always lose and very few people will have sympathy for whatever cause you're fighting.

Not that I support what this person did, but not very intelligent is it to publicly be proud of being a racist?

Darwin candidate maybe.

ok, so it's ok for one group to speak badly of the other but not the other way around? i guess ti only works one way
