This test was done in Centurion, but I get the same results at Wapadrand & Wilgers

392ms ping
484 kbps download
30 kbps upload

Today in Fourways (fairly busy area) using the E3276 in HSPA mode connected to laptop (can't wait for LTE to get here!).
Download Speed: 11372 kbps (1421.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 2221 kbps (277.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 31 ms

This is the MF668 running on the TP-Link MR3420 V2 (using OpenWRT Black Widow)
Download Speed: 4964 kbps (620.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1851 kbps (231.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 43 ms

Hopefully I can get the E3276 running on this router soon. The Black Widow software has made a world of difference to this router - highly recommended. Before the change from factory software it would run at 2-2.5MBps down, <1mbps up, and ping around 60ms.

Since the 19th of April, I have been made to suffer the download speeds equivalent to dial up. I've sent complaints, feedback information, threats for legal action but as yet no resolution. The response is congestion and that the techs would attend to it. How do huge companies offer "Super Duper" promotions before preparing for the obvious increase of users? And why does it take so long for them to react if they claim to be such a good company?

My Area is Vryheid(KZN) and my issue is in the CBD.
My current CellC speed test results are as follows:

Download :29kbps (3.6KBps)
Upload: 51kbps (6.4KBps)
Latency: 504ms

As you can see, my upload speed is faster than the download. I am close to using the legal option to return the 3 Giga 200 prepaid bundles I've purchased. Are there any suggestions as to which attorney deals with such issues at a reasonable rate?

Well my ping beats yours! :( (and it's only 3G too).

Seriously though, I wonder how many of the performance problems that folks are complaining about come back to equipment and set up? If I could nearly double performance with a simple software upgrade to my router, it makes me think that some problems that look network related can be fixed with a bit of fine-tuning.

Your thoughts?

I should hope so, you are in Joburg. ;)

I'm sure some of them can, but the some of the complaints where things slow down at certain times of the day definitely sound like congestion and the only way to fix that is with more base stations.

now just tell me do you guys connect to the internet through wifi or with the normally data connections

Seems like the local tower is working well. Glad it didn't go up in flames last night with the rest of the centre.

I also think the E3276 has something to do with this speed. Can't get this with the MF668.

Cell C LTE in La Lucia. Had to force the E3276 to LTE with MDMA else it sticks to WCDMA.

Same location my iPhone 5
