MTN is not ‘World Class Internet’ – ASA

This is classic :) Gogo Cell C, make MTN and Vocacom suffer!
 
Its the most pathetic ad Ive seen. They no stats/speeds what so ever in the whole ad.
 
Its fantastic that Cell C are also fighting back. MTN and Vodacom asked for this by constantly attacking Cell C's advertising so it's only fair. Way to go Cell C

Not for wireless. Just means that it shouldn't be prohibitively expensive and should be faster - MTN and VC is neither.

Thank you. Every time I see that stupid world-class internet ad, I wanna punch the TV. World class my ass! If MTN had fast uncapped 3G then I'd consider that world-class! Instead they're charging the same exorbitant fees per MB as everyone else.
 
they had it coming to them.
i'm really pleased with this.

half the reason this market isn't changing fast enough is because of competition.
and competition isn't happening because consumers only buy what's fed to them.
and if what's fed to them is bs, how would they know any better?

It's by far the most annoying advert currently on TV.

I am getting sub dial-up speeds in Woodmead Sandton. They don't care.

MTN sucks, glad this company is being exposed. We need such articles to hit the TV where the majority of the SA masses are also hooked on, but that never happens...sigh.
