SLOW ADSL Today??

I came home about an hour ago and switched the router on.

I then noticed that the websites open very slowly. My speedtests wont even complete.

Im downloading from rapidshare now at 18kB/s and yesterday I got 40kB/s. Im on the 384kbps line.

Is there a problem with Internet Solutions today because I tried Axxess, Afrihost and Cybersmart Capped Accounts and its the same.

What is up with IS these days? Reports of packet loss etc. have been reported, and lots of people with connection problems on this forum, yet not a word from them?

Yep, unbelievable. It's the first time I've experienced speed issues with Mweb. S'pose there's a first for everthing, sad though :(
 
this is the second time ive been able to access the web and post, haven't been able to connect to any other site but here only just, if i think back not everytime but this has happened at the end of the month with IS Axxess a couple times, i wonder if there is another reason for the downtime, it cant be testing for seacon outage because the business day was over ages ago
 
this either have quantity and a crap rubbish service or good service but restricted to an hour a day surfing - yes i know i exaggerated a bit lol, is hardly a choice of good products here, they are both shyte, i got an idea im gonna shoot film on a busy work day and processs all pics in the darkroom, bugger the clients who need their digital pics by deadline today, i wanna see how hectic it will be if all my pcs crash, my car explodes and both my feet fall off
 
im trying to think of other products that ive bought in the past that stop working and have so many usage conditions and restrictions, also what product have i bought that i needed, bought it and am unhappy with its performance, cant think of any but adsl
 
I WAS RIGHT :D

1. It seems that downloading from http is back to normal; getting around 350kB/s.
2. Email seems more or less same speed as usual.
3. Torrent is going as "fast" as 4kB/s.

PS: on 4Mb line on Axxess Lite
 
i dont doubt that they restrict usage so that they make more profit, but i cant even open speedtest.net no Gmail, im on axxess R496 - 4mb completelyfakd sorry uncapped, cant get on one local server to play black ops either, it depends on which account/or how much you pay them i think, which decides on how restricted your account is, i would imagine the R899 and above accounts are working 100%

Im also getting slow speeds since about 10 ish today. my @openweb.co.za is awfully slow. But my telkom one seems good :p But sadly it's only got about 50MB's left before it gets capped >_>
