XBMC Supersport Addon

Isn't is it just easier to shove the folder inside the zip in to the addons folder? That's why I do with the iOS nightlies and it still works (kind of - has streaming bug but its xbmc issue).

Well thats how I install it, but people on this thread seems to install it via the XBMC function, so I think this repository route will be easier from my side. At least it works, and people will also automatically get new updates.

Alright, I gave up, I don't know how to pack the zip file that XBMC likes it, so instead followed the Repository route which seems to work.

Download this zip: http://ares.hero.za.net/xbmc/repository.tinuva.addons.zip
Install in the latest XBMC.

Then go and install DSTV Supersport 1.0.1 from the tinuva repository. This version should work, I only tested live streaming. You will require to configure it with a username/password before it will start working.

Next step will be to make the folder listing faster in a future version, which you should get automatically once you start using this repository.

Tinuva, thanks so much for this. Working like a charm :)

Hi Tinuva, thanks so much. I too tried to pack the zip file correctly without success on Eden.

Your solution worked first time on XBMCBuntu installation.

THANKS!

Its a pleasure guys.

I find it interesting to see though, that there are more downloads towards international ips than to South African ips.

How could I go about using this in Singapore? I still have an active DSTV Premium account in South Africa that I pay every month so using it legally shouldn't be a problem. But they block the traffic to Singapore. I understand I need a VPN of sorts but I have no idea how to use them. Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: I downloaded HotSpot Active Shield VPN but I really have no idea what it is doing or even if it is working...

Easiest is to buy a Virtual Private server hosted by M-Web, and install proxy software on that, which you then connect to, do your streaming through.

I am not going to go into details, I hope that someone else can help you with that, because its quite a bit of work to explain.

Just a heads up, I published a quick update to the repo which improves the addon's menu browsing. The login code is now only checked the first time you enter the addon, after that its not checked again every time you browsing entries after the main menu.

Should be better for the servers, and the user experience :)

If you still have the repo addon installed, update will be automatic.

Thanks Tinuva, got the update.
Addon is working nice and smoothly :)

Awesome! Working correctly.

Hmm. I think I by mistake added a feature that requires XBMC 11.0 now, so if you have a problem with the addon, upgrade to 11 from 10, to prevent the login code from failing.

ps. I am not a real developer, soo I don't really know what I am doing, just trying to keep the addon alive :)
