Cell C Prepaid offering free data and airtime?

That sounds awesome, my Cell C is on Contract but I will get a prepaid sim just for this.... So I can get up to a gig of data for free just for recharging?
 
This is a sweet deal to good to be true to be honest with you...
I am going to buy airtime later on to check if this actually works maybe it could be a network glitch error to encourage users to RICA their sim cards immediately :P

R100 = 1GIG free data - a give away :) == How long is this promotion running
 
I just recharged now and was credited with a gig of data, so i can confirm its true.

Better still, buy every Monday morning R100 airtime and you get 1GB data and R100 airtime for the week = R400+ pm
Not too shabby for a cell phone usage and data. Now how would you split that between a modem and a phone. You probably need to swop the sim between the two devices and only use one at a time.
Wait I have an old Nokia N95. Worked pretty well as a modem and phone.
Very economical replacement for Telkom home phone and ADSL.

Still don't beat the 8ta offering
 
Its sad that Cell C is the only provider that is actually being competitive, all the other providers do is just copy and paste. We need more of these promotions, Just wish Cell C could hurry up and get proper data coverage in my area so that I can dump Vodacom for good.
 
I just called the Cell C call center, apparently the promotion is going to run from the 1st of July until the 30th of September.
 
Well impressed... pity I am on vodacom :( but my contract expires october, if this continues think it's time to switch networks!

So if you recharge R100 every Monday you get 4+ gigs a month for free? That's frikkin' awesome. It costs me almost that much for 2 gigs from MTN and that doesn't include any airtime.

Dude don't forget that you ain't going to pay for any of this, so you can't compare it with 8ta promotion.
 
Just remember it lasts for one week only.

So if you always recharge on mondays you have a week to blow 1GB and 100 SMSs and 100 minutes to Cell C if you recharge with R100.

If you recharge with R50 (Minimum) you get 500MB + 50 SMSs + 50 minutes to Cell C per week,

so R200 a month gets you 2GBs + 200 SMSs + 200 minutes to Cell C.

Not too shabby... Give LARS a Bells!
