Galaxy Nexus versus iPhone 4S

Nice one Jan, I like the ending...

I know its not meant to be analyzed, but wouldn't you say that the whole willing-to-switch-to-Android thing is more thanks to the SGS2? The combination of Samsung's marketing and Androids awesomeness started the trend with SGS2 - and now the hype around the Nexus is probably just compounding onto that.

If only the Nexus was an option for us MTN upgraders

Great comparative review, Jan.

I'm surprised to hear that the 4s's processor is clocked at 800Mhz - I always assumed it was 1Ghz.

I'll take the Galaxy Nexus in the end, as the iPhone's screen is just a little small. My 3.7" screen (Defy) sometimes seems too small, so I can't imagine a 3.5" screen keeping me happy. But in the end, both are awesome phones and like you said, it's all about personal taste.

PS - good luck with that 1206 unread emails of yours :p

Anyway... gonna get some Infinity Blade II going :) hehe

Bring your IB2.... I'll just start up WifiKill and kick you off the network ;)

Anyway.... I am very tempted to go Nexus, but for some reason I would have preferred a RAZR MAXX body :(

Also have the Galaxy Note teasing me in the background, maybe I'll just wait to see what the price will be and then decide.

I wonder how my Note would compare ;)

Compared to these two devices the Note wins hands down in my opinion. One quickly get used to the size and then it is only a pleasure to use. When I now look at my SGS2 I cannot believe that I was happy with that screen, and when I look at my wife's iPhone 4 screen I just shake my head.

BeVonk!, why didn't you tell me you made a video review? :D

The Galaxy Nexus is best. Why? Because it’s the first Android device that has the BlackBerry loyalists in the MyBroadband office considering a switch to a different platform.

Who would that be?

Samsung is a company that produces rubbish knock-offs, in my opinion. I have had several Samsung phones and they were all crap. Nearly every Samsung device (of any type) I have owned has failed within 24 months of ownership. This includes printers, monitors, air-conditioners and optical disks.

Ah to the author, you might want to consider cleaning the screens of the phones before you photograph them?

Must agree with you there...I still have my SII and it feels so little when I hold it...
had my Note for a week now and very happy. battery is good even with 8 hours a day of heavy using...
But I don't know how gsmarena can quote 26 hours talk time hahahaha
must say it's on 2G though...never tried it.

He use to, but people commented that he did not use them when reviews where not to their favors.

Nexus is a better phone than the 4S, no question. The real winner though is still the Galaxy S2 (upgraded to ICS). The screen of the note is just too big for me personally but I don't dispute the appeal and benefit.

Always trust Elimentals to come up with a good video. That is the video that I needed in the Nokia discussion yesterday when Samsung was accused of making flimsy phones.

LOL, I remember that one from some time back :)

Well I have an answer for people that moan about copies as well...

Everything you see, use and touch is a copy, Hell even you are a copy from your parents DNA, live with it.

From the article

This doesn't make sense to me. Most BlackBerry loyalists in my experience (and I know quite a few) are loyal because of BBM, BIS and the physical keyboard. The GNexus has none of that, it's actually about as far from the BB philosophy as you can get.

Care to explain the logic of these people?
