There was a problem found with Africa INX (peering partner) and has since been resolved by them.
Cape Town still may have a problem until the IPC upgrade is finished, ......

Please would you add PE to the list of problem areas - not sure if we here are linked to Cape Town or JHB, but what I've experienced tonight, only while connected to VOX as my ISP, is as follows :
1. couldn't access the Tech News part of MyBB website ;
2. the forums were exceptionally slow to load, if at all ;
3. of most concern to me, the fact that Microsoft Security Essentials got stuck on searching for downloads indefinitely - wouldn't budge past the searching status.
As soon as I switched to an Afrihost account, the above were immediately rectified. MS SE downloaded the updates immediately thereafter, just as they used to using VOX. Incidentally, the same happened either this morning, yesterday, or both days - MS SE couldn't do the updates connected via VOX.
I'm hopeful that once your guys have managed to sort out CPT, all will be well again in other regions !?
Alternatively, please look into why this phenomenon might be happening, which is something no-one else seems to have mentioned (about MS SE).
EDIT re MyBB: just checked again using VOX ; tried to load a forum page. Times out completely, and the page message states it's unavailable (like some of the screenshots posted in this thread).
