@lantic R59 uncapped 'bolt-on' feedback

I'm not seeing any of the problems reported here about mybb not working on the vox accounts. I'm always connected to my Vox account and on mybb 24/7 and its working fine.

Im also using the default DNS servers: Primary: 196.22.218.248 Secondary: 209.203.10.208

Doesn't matter which DNS servers I use, only helps to change the ISP account. This is what I'm seeing here:

Tried to do an iOS update now too and was basically dead (20KB/sec), had to switch that to my Telkom account too.

Eh, you will find it is the Cape Town guys having issues with MyBB (me included). Posting this from my Web Africa account.

Ditto. But the fact that they are saying it is not a VOX issue is what is giving me a bit of rage.

I think its not a mybb vox issue but a issue with the congestion. Maybe they are shaping extremely to try and reduce load for CPT people as much as possible? I don't know I basically guessing here. For me here in Richards Bay,KZN its flying fine now.

I'm listening to my playlist on youtube in 720p and its working fine so it must be the congestion issue you guys are facing.

Why would only MyBB (or their datacenter) be affected then? Doesn't really make sense. Most other stuff is fine, albeit with higher latency.

Yeah I guess maybe he meant from a DNS point of view its not a Vox issue but the IPC issue is causing the problem.

Yeah that I don't know and does not really make sense but yeah. Check your pm quick.

Why would it affect certain sites though? I dont know enough about these things...

Neither do I. I'm just guessing here. It could be the hosting provider that mybb uses when the CPT ipc get congested that that peering link to the Hetzner gets the lowest priority or is simply just too congested that it times out. Only Vox can answer these questions.

I cant connect to most local sites. Wtf is up with these accounts latley i had to bitch about this problem using my cellphone. Please fix this has been ongoing for a while.

Amen. When last did Voxy show face around here?

I'm from durban and have also experienced this mybb phenomenon although it's been okay lately.

Loving the new design of MyADSL down here in CT when on VOX:

By chance are you running PeerBlock or something similar?

If so, check that application hit list when you're trying to get to MyBroadband or a Vox site. I'd be very curious to see if something comes up.

I was doing some checking last night, and found a lot of our IP range is being blocked by PeerBlock (iBlockList host) due to the congestion on the network, it got us onto that list.

Disable such peer blocking applications and try again, let me know if this is the case or not.

Regards,
Chris

CPT IPC - Update

Hi guys,

As promised, here's an update on the CPT IPC:

We anticipate Telkom to fulfill our request by Tuesday next week. There is a possibility that it will be done sometime tomorrow, but our expectation (due to experience with Telkom) is mid-next week.

Cross fingers, hold thumbs, what ever you do in these circumstances.

Regarding "things not working" flood of posts -- once again, if you're in CPT, it's a known issue and hopefully Telkom upgrades our IPC before the weekend.

Once the IPC is upgraded (confirmed by a post from me), please let me know if you are unable to get to MyBroadband forums.

Regards,
Chris

Morning Cvanwie
I can confirm im running no such programs, only program my net filters through is Kaspersky.
This problem has only started recently, end of Aug till present and like most of us CT people, MyBB is mostly affected. Iracing.com also at evenings pings are way high than what they used to be.
Before this going back to June this year all was 100%, no congestion and latency was very good (Iracing)......

My pakage is 75gig Fatpipe, Bolt addon, 2m ADSL

Nope. But I will install those tonight and see what ips pop into the notification window/log. Will also kill any DNS settings and firewalls and have a look what is (not) going on.
