The way I see it is that they already had their customers (business) but had an under utilised network at night, so they decided to sell super cheap accounts to fill the gap. Charging R59 is hardly going to make them millions.

This is exactly how I understood it. R59 is so little, but it is a lot more then the nothing they were getting from a quiet high quality network in the evenings. It is possible that the T&C change is due to the home use clogging up the bussiness traffic at night, which (to be fair) they can't allow. We are benefitting from their under utilised evening network after all.
That is, if this is really the case.
 
I think the days of under utilized network in the evening are long gone. That is why so many ISP's have shaping on their products till 00:00.

Yeah, a lot more people have internet now and a lot more people make use of the internet and do more on the internet.
YouTube, play games, browse, download - it has all become far more common compared to a few years ago. Just general technological advances I guess.

People get use to having it on their phones and at their friends houses, internet has become significantly cheaper and more accessible as well yadda yadda yadda.

People are now moving onto Netflix as opposed to DSTV and possibly previous alternatives such as DVD / Blu Ray movies.
Thinking back to the people I knew and who had internet and used it for what 4 years ago, it has changed a lot.

Let's wish for the best and hope that Vox are happy to keep us happy and their network running well 99% of the time. :D

Tonight is the first time I can't access mybb on Vox account. Using cellc to post. Other sites are fine but mybb gives error 404.

Welcome to a night in my shoes... Almost every evening from 6pm except on the weekends I have this issue.

I'm on WebAfrica now to post this.

No word from @Voxy either. Awesome!

Aaannndddd, I'm capped again, with plenty Gigs remaining.
Taking them 2 days to sort it.

If I am getting issues with the bolt-on uncapped, I would not complain that much, but this issue is with the Fatpipe service!

@Voxy, do you have anyone there that can fix this issue??
 
Anyone having any issues streaming? any video I seem to watch work to a point then auto completes to the end and I need to refresh and skip to where it stopped, its really frustrating.

I'm on the G4G with the bolt-on, and it seems I was close to the 1GB cap (even though this was after 6pm. I was on my phone and could access youtube etc, just not mybb. Went on my pc and added another gig to my account then it was working... No idea why, because I was still under the cap.

Doesn't it automatically add am extra 1GB on the G4G account and just keeps going and adding more? :confused:

Nope. They got a pretty cool setting where you can adjust how much aditional cap you want to be allowed. Changing it to 0 means you will get capped. Very cool feature as it works for both g4g and fatpipe.

When I asked the support staff they said such a thing was not possible.

You are looking for this setting in the control panel. I have a fatpipe and g4g account so I know it works with both accounts.

I think mine is already set like that, thanks! I will test it out sometime and see whether it really does cap me or not - just to be sure :D

Yeah it should cap you for daytime use only if you have the bolt on. Then come 6pm your internet should start working again.
