SA's best mobile broadband deals

Will have to go and visit a Cell C store this weekend and get a data sim. Will use my old phone to Hotspot the data to my Galaxy S3 with Vodacom.

Joining CellC Prepaid too when my Vodacom contract expires next month.

What i cannot understand is why Vodascum will not give the prepaid guy the option of buying the 3gig + 3gig.
They will make a lot of customers happy. and they will keep a lot more. they will also attract the 8ta people paying R149 for 2gig plus 1gig.

I keep hearing people saying that they are going to move once their Vodacom contracts expire. When they signed their contract with Vodacom there were better deals available at the time, so why did they go ahead and sign anyway ?

For Pete's sake, don't sign anymore Vodacom contracts. The only way Vodacom are going to become more competitive with their pricing is if we stop dealing with them for data. Support the companies that are bending over backwards for us to improve the data pricing structure. They deserve your support.

After all, VC did come out and say that they would reduce their pricing - only if they were forced to. Force them.

Vodacom... that's like an honourable mention at the eisteddfod ballet competition... you danced but seriously you sucked!

Ai Jannie... must be really difficult defending Vodacom's stance... I can only imagine the office corridor chats...

This is BS! I just called my operator and they say I can't get these deals on my phone. So these are not mobile data packages. They are mean strictly for that most South African of concepts the magic cheaper 3G phone 3G connected PC/Laptop contract.

What is the best broadband for gaming?. I use very little broadband and about 2GB pm will do for me (I have it at the moment with EmptyN for R149pm), but for the kids they probably need more esp for games.
I just do not want to pay Telkom.
If I take the approx R600pm for 1Mb line on Telkom with uncapped from say MWEB, I can Buy 3 10GB contracts from 8ta. That will give me 30GB pm and at better speed.
Or should I just bite the bullet and get an ADSL line and cough up R600pm?

Id say IF you get good coverage from either 8ta or CellC go for that. 3G is fast if you get signal. If you need/want the phoneline and since you don't need the uncapped just go for the 2G + 1G Go big - no contract and when things get cheaper again soon you can always switch :)
