Hi guys

Thought I'd start a guessing game for the new phones apparently coming to Red Bull Mobile in September (this was mentioned by the Cell C rep in another thread).

My guess after seeing the other Red Bull Mobile sites around the world is that the Galaxy S2 is coming. Please let it be so! :)

I went to a cellc store the other day, and they told me cellc was discontinuing Redbull mobile as not many people signed up for them.

Any links to these rumors?

I asked a CellC shop guy the other day why they are not offering anymore redbull contracts and he said they are discontinuing RedBull mobile.

Any links to these rumors?

I asked this same question a few weeks ago when I got the same response from a Cell C shop salesperson. I think they get commission on new 99c Straight Up contracts so make up stories like this to push people to take out those contracts. The Cell C rep told us on the forum that it is untrue. I did not that the RBM website has been updated with 99c.

Sounds off to me. Red bull mobile isn't a cell c product, but rather another company like virgin mobile running on their network. they just happen to have closer ties.

They use the exact same billing system, and when I add bundles, I add cellc's bundles to my contract.

But I would like to get this contract for a friend, and I was unable to do so. Being told they dont offer the RBM200 contracts anymore.

weird, its still advertised on their site

This is beginning to sound a bit off to me. Nether, which store told you this? Mine was Cavendish in Cape Town and someone else I saw on another thread was Somerset West. Something fishy methinks...

I'll go tomorrow, take a clip of the store and I'll ask them about it, go look on they're specials pages they have, there are Redbull stuff you can buy, but its contracts designed for clearance sale, there is only one page with it on. You can only choose between 3 low end phones.

Edit: I'm not sure whats going on today, but I have the worst grammar and sentence construction ever! :)

OK, so I went to a CellC store today, and the person didn't allow me to record him or what he said, but I can confirm that redbull is dead in the water.

They are only trying to clear stock of the units they still have in warehouse.

I have a picture from they're current September Specials book:

You will notice even though those are redbull phones, they are all on standard CellC controlchat contracts.

They told me the website was totally outdated, but couldn't tell me when that was going to be fixed. They also have to remove the display phones from the special RedBull booth.

If any here are still in doubt, go to a cellc store and ask them directly.

Thanks for doing that Nether. What I don't get is why the RedBull mobile website has been updated for example in the last week (I have been monitoring it in anticipation of new phones). I'm going to contact Red Bulll themselves today.

The staff was very surprised that the website was still showing the offers. Even though the staff said they were informed about RedBull, they still seem to feel uncertain about whats going on, but did tell me the clearance contracts were the only things they had on offer.

To everyone

I just got hold of Lars Henning (brand manager for RBM and he had this to say:

"Red Bull MOBILE is NOT phasing out and new phones and packages will be launched in the next two months as stated on mybroadband.co.za. Check our homepage www.redbullmobile.co.za and follow us on facebook and twitter to stay updated. "

Hope this helps.

Redbull Mobile Contract Upgrades

I am almost due for an upgrade on my Redbull Mobile contract. On Redbull Mobile's website they haven't updated the phones available since they first started. I obviously can't upgrade to the same phone! :wtf:

Has anybody upgraded yet on Redbull Mobile and what happened?
