Firstly, there is no such thing as hogs as people have different bandwith needs.

Secondly, even if you pay more for an Afrihost Business Account you're still considered a hog? A business?

People in SA need to get over this 3Gb is enough for everyone mentality that Telkom started.

Firstly, downloading TV series for friends and family is not a "need".

Secondly lots of home users make use of Afrihost's business accounts.

The internet in most cases is not a need but a want. If we stuck to need we would probably only use the internet for work.

Isn't this a contradiction in terms? How can you abuse an uncapped account? Either it's uncapped or it's not.

Not when it comes to home accounts that have more restrictions to make them more affordable.

Your statement would be true with regards to business accounts.

An uncapped account with restrictions is not an uncapped account.

Thats for sure...I must remind myself NEVER EVER to consider Cybersmart! (Cybersmart’s biggest uncapped ADSL bandwidth user consumed 823GB per month.) On a 10Mb/s, how pathetic!!! They must be shaping those fools to pieces.

lol. You need to go back to 1995. If you cannot afford the $8 a month for Hulu or other streaming services then you are too poor for the internet.
 
Many people run WISPs and use uncapped accounts for the bandwidth, it's a very popular practice in small towns.
