Morning all,

Though id give all the installers / techies a heads up, OVHD will be publicly available on the IS20 (DSTV) satellite as of the 1st of November 2014, but space TV boxes can pick it up already:-)

Here is the Data for the new downlink freq on IS20:

Freq: 11170 mhz
Pol: Verticle
Symbol Rate: 28 750 Bd

Mr. Rob

Yip. Just plug and play. But I'm not sure how it will work on the ellies boxes and you can't edit the transponders. On the space box it will be very easy just edit the tp. The cool thing is now you can add god tv and all the other fta channels and get the local stuff free

There'll be a loader on the sat that'll download new firmware to the stb to rescan and change everything.

So would IS20 be better than the current setup?

You bought the Space TV box?

How much?

You did nothing other than hook the decoder up to the dish?

Yes, Space HD box, they charged me R739. 86

You just need to add the setting for the IS 20 satellite, as in first post.

No changes to dish.

Guys. You can program more transponders onto the decoder. Just add a new tp to the decoder. The reason they are moving onto is 20 is to open the market for guys in complexes with only a dstv communal dish. You can get about 124 extra channels on the decoder if you know what your doing

Do you have any details ? Would be appreciated !

I'll pick up a decoder on the weekend and get all the transponders from my spectrum analyser and give the details. I think there are about 15 excl dstv transponders which are encrypted
