Getz faster than a Golf 4?

My friend diced a tannie in a Getz and she won.

Dafuq?

I didn't even realize a Getz was faster than an Atos, all these years I been looking at Getz owners thinking they prefer slow cars meanwhile it's a nice little fast car!!!
 
a) Your friend is 90 years old
or
b) Your friend cannot drive
 
The Golf 4 was pathetic, the 1.6 does 0-100 in 14.5s, even the 2.0 could only manage 11.8s

By comparison the 1.4, 1.5CRDI and 1.6 Getz's do it in 11.2s, 11.1s and 9.6s respectively.
 
Golf 4 are heavy and old and slow. If its anything less then GTi then the golf will loose. Heck even a mk1 GTi golf beats a stock g4 Gti

Cos the Tannies car had a hidden NOS canister that you didn't see :)

You gotta take into consideration that the driver plays an integral part.
