So earlier today I got an SMS

"21 Jun 2015, save the date! The 2GB+1GB Telkom data bundle will be replaced with new bundles offering better network coverage. Night surfer will be a thing of the past, so you can surf the internet anywhere and anytime"

wut, I really hope they're not making it more expensive or something >.>
I have to go to the Telkom store to get my number moved to a different port, and try and get ADSL sorted, Telkom pls.

Has anyone else received this? Just want to make sure I am not getting trolled or something. :)

EDIT: The 3G was working out too expensive, so now they ironically decide to change stuff, I use them as my main Internet connection so I have to make a decision between that and ADSL. Ai...

Hey, I also got this msg...

21 Jun 2015, save the date! The 60GB+ 60GB Telkom data bundle will be replaced with new bundles offering better network coverage. Night surfer will be a thing of the past, so you can surf the internet anywhere and anytime.

Yeah, me too. I could only imagine that they're going to put the cost up a little and make it a 3GB package... Who knows.

I got "It's time for change! Telkom will soon be offering you great value and simplicity. Watch this space." ... Telkom pre-paid on sim2, my data's with MTN on sim 1.

Wonder what Telkom are up to now.

+1 Got that sms on my prepaid sim too.

I really hope they dont screw anything up, they're my main Internet provider at the moment.

Doesn't sound good. It was the limited coverage (limited to their own network) and night surfer that made it cheaper. Roaming would increase the cost and so would doing away with night time usage. My guess is some sort of middle ground that's cheaper than regular bundles but more expensive than the current high usage ones. Unless they decide to make good use of LTE/-A bandwidth.

Why not just give us unlimited night data like with adsl?

Guess I won't be using Telkom again. Cell C should fast track LTE rollout and reduce prices even more.

I think these new prices are a good improvement. These new prices looks like they are just bundles.

Telkom will no longer be splitting all networks data and telkom mobile only data.

I can't confirm this yet as the website seems to still being updated but that can actually be a good thing for people that don't fall in Telkom mobile coverage as they will have decent data deals.
