I'm sick of Telkoms terrible service and I want out of their network ASAP. As a community we can give the finger to Telkom !

EDIT: I Can't believe the uptake of this , tbh I thought it would fall to the way side and be forgotten.
Congrats everyone, just that last push for more signatures and we're home free :D! Tell your neighbours ! so close.

Have signed up and shared this in a few Welties groups - hopefully it gets some attention.

Welties, we are now at 106 sign-ups required. We can make it happen! :)

And seeing that this does not touch the Telkom network, would I be safe in assuming that it would be possible for IPV6 to be implemented if requeired.

Hi Toby (long time no speak!) No idea to be honest... That is a question for the ISP to ultimately answer.

wow ok then so you guys are on track at least

Since Weltevredenpark does not even have its own Telkom exchange (we use Panorama and Aasvoelkop) its hardly surprising there is a real need.

Very impressed with the uptake. It would be nice to know how quickly 123Net proceed with infrastructure commissioning etc.

I think thats been the bane of all of our existence. I have personally gone through all the service providers available and had it up to the neck with Telkom. This is our salvation. Hopefully 123net dont disappoint. But there is lots to gain for them on the density in the suburb and surrounds.

You Sir, are a Scholar and a Gentleman! Well done for pushing this... I'll be the first to happily sell in my Mother in Law in order to afford fibre to my home in Welties!

:D would perhaps be better to get your mother in law to signup as well, perhaps for the free internet plan? :)

If only! She lives in the East Rand though... thus the reason for the sale... takes an hour to drive there every time we need to visit :-/

I have had 10-15 faults logged on my line since June 2015. An average of 1.5 or so a week.
Packet loss is enormous.
