The continued endorsment of openweb...

AFAIK they're an advertiser and the post was made under the "Partner content" section of the forum… so what's the big deal?

Use them, don't use them. Personally I don't use them any more. They ripped me off long enough.

I see they disabled the comments for that article

It is for any article in the "partner content" subsection ,but allows forum comments just not the Disqus

Stop promoting OpenWeb because we all know that MWEB, Afrihost, Axxess, WebAfrica, Cybersmart, CrystalWeb, MTN, Vodacom, Cell C, (mybroadband?)... never lie to their customers.

I'm with Vox for the time being. :p

Well I for one admire their boldness...I mean paid advertorials on a forum know to be openly hostile towards them....big balls there.

This argument is spilling over into other platforms....

Seen that.

Perhaps the partner subsection is part of moving away from more traditional contribution towards pay-to-publish model. This would explain a few things like continued partnership and of course those bouncers at the door...

Bravery or stupidity..... there is a thin line between them. I'm voting the latter.

Well, I call it exploitation. Exploitation that, despite there being some intelligent folk here, there are lots and lots of gullible fools, and even lurkers who are gullible. So they will advertise here, to get new suckers...

Look at it this way, at least they pay for it... if it was for free then I would take exception.

At the end of the day, if you're stupid enough to fall for Dr's adverts, then you deserve what you get.
