Afrihost Voice coming soon

interesting, why choose Afrihost over MTN though? surely, their pricing can't be cheaper?

Maybe they going to bundle it with + and get some additional benefits?

Afrihost has a much better billing system than MTN.

Getting confused here...

So AH Voice will use the MTN network.

AH fixed line data (DSL) will use the Vodacom./neotel network.

axxess will use IS... <sorry> MTN BS network.

Are Gian and company about to launch predatory pricing cases at the CC and/or ICASA to play the operators off against each other as well as an attack on Telkom's IPC tariffs?

care to explain in greater detail?

I've been waiting for this since last year. I'll gladly be an early tester if they're looking for some!

I think Afrihost's data is somewhat cheaper.

The real motivation to use Afrihost is the flexibility they provide along with a good customer experience (not referring to ADSL performance here for those who had bad experiences). Just compare the functionality of the Clientzone to what MTN offers.

Looks like a few rumours in the mix here :)

To my knowledge, Axxess will be following on the same DSL network as us, I don't believe that will change. We are currently using multiple upstream providers, but we'll release more information when AfriGreen becomes our full production network.

Our intent is not to go after any other providers, simply to provide a great service where we see an opportunity to provide more value to our clients.

I will seriously consider using Afrihost Voice if the prices are good. Their support, though wonky at times, are mostly a joy to use.

We haven't released any official pricing but I would definitely expect it to be an awesome deal - ;) ;)

It would definitely be a value add with us to have your Mobile Voice and Data, DSL and Web Hosting in one place - all managed through ClientZone. Sounds good to me :)

Currently on Voda 79c prepaid and have a Afrihost 2GB filled mifi in the car. If Afrihost can offer the same 79c prepaid plan that MTN does, then I will port across.

Will just need to sell off my R1500 vodacom airtime I have loaded on my line :-/

Please let me know when you're ready to test - I'll gladly help out ;)

Axxess has 3 month roll-over on their data (MTN) packages which is brilliant! And their packages are way cheaper than top-up options from MTN
