Actually, if we were to nitpick, you mean to say 1280 x 720, as that is the supported video resolution, not 1366 x 768. 1366 x 768 is simply the resolution that many HD televisions use as a native resolution, usually because it's efficient to manufacture the panels this way.Full HD is 1920 X 1080
HD ready is 1366 X 768

Agreed, I've spoken to many people who refused to believe this, they insist on believing that their TV's resolution is 1280x720![]()

If I look in my manual and 'Connecting external equipment' and check under notes, it says :
* If the digital set-top box supports Auto HDMI function, the output resolution of the source device will be set to automatically set to 1280 x 720
* If the digital set-top box does not support Auto HDMI function, you need to set the output resolution appropriatly. To get the best picture quality, adjust the output resolution of the source device to 1280 x 720.
A few pages further in the manual under RGB/PC (DVI), it states :
We recommend using 1024x768 60hz (42" XGA plasma models),1366x768 60hz (LCD models) and 1360x768 60hz (50" plasma models)
So, I'd guess that mine is a 1280 x 768? BUt, I'm not sure why the PC only selects 1024x768 ... which looks crap![]()
Actually, more than likely, your model has a native resolution of 1366 x 768 (assuming it's the LCD model).
What device are you using for a signal?
720p, I'm afraid.
