Telkom online Fault Reporting

I just thought best to start a thread to show you guys that there are options currently available to report both ADSL and Voice faults with Telkom.

Here it is: No more need for 0800 375 375

Online Fault Report

Hope you find it of some use. I used the voice reporting about 4 weeks ago and they phoned me within the hour.

Unless you actually phone wait the time and speak to someone nothing will happen. Ive reported 4 faults through that service. Every single one I ended up having to phone. They add your fault send you sms's for 2 days saying they are "working on the problem" then you get one that says "this fault has been resolved" your fault report gets shut but nothing has actually happened.

This has happened to me at least 6 times so far. Only when you get someone to speak to do you have even the slightest hope of something being resolved.
 
That may be your experience, but it's not mine. Don't kill a cat before it ate the mice ;)
 
I have just submitted a fault, I'll report the outcome here.

thanks, just sent a query, will report back here on response time and total experience. I logged a fault regarding the voice that went dead since the rains two weeks ago. ADSL is working just fine though.

They should phone in about an hour or two, and you should receive an sms if you entered a cell number. Before reporting a fault, be clear in your description of the fault and the way you bring it across, it won't help saying "me internetz not working".

Not aimed at you Coza, just in general ;)

I tried to log a fault, and got the following message, figures!

We are experiencing a Technical error and are unable to process your request. Please try again later.
 
Now you have to call Telkom to report that their fault reporting services is "experiencing a Technical error":D:D:D
 
It's Telscum people, I thought you'd be used to them by now? If it doesn't work today, try again tomorrow, beats holding on the phone for more than an hour if you ask me ;)
 
Any feedback, did they contact you back or not? ;)
 
I used the VOICE reporting service link on top after giving up after holding for 65 minutes, got the sms the next morning, fault was fixed 2 days later. ( 3 Days turnaround )
