Vodacom taking on Neotel?

LOL who runs the show over there? You release a product that is suppose to rival another one, yet it is more expensive and offers less value? *Slap own face*
 
Why do I want a fixed wireless product from Vodacom???!!! It is more expensive???!!
 
Well, a lot of people are using vodacom for this anyway, simply because they are already in Vodacom's grip with a 2 year contract, or because Neotel has not provided coverage yet.

It's interesting how a "fixed line" operator and a "wireless" operator can compete.

I love this.

Telkom did it before vodacom! I know because I have one, and its costs the same as a regular telephone call. So vodacom must not even try ripping off the consumer.

I can see whats happening here... lets phase out the land line and make EVERYONE pay through thir noses for a phone call. I can't speak for Neotel, but I can already see what these cellular networks have in mind.
 
I doubt Vodacom could "take" Neotel with that pricing. Only thing they have going for them could be coverage.

Oh! and I forgot to mention, if your have suffered from cable theft, telkom actually GIVES you the phone. ANd the monthly fee for the service is about R200 pm, but I'm not 100% sure about that figure.

VodaCom loves Your Cash !

VodaCom owns the SA telecoms sector as far as i know. VodaCom is the only company that can provide you with the lowest call rates to any operator ( that will never happen though ) the highest receiver of interconnect revenue is received by them. Every other operator has to pay them daily. SA govt is aware of this and even Icasa. If the interconnect charges were lowered it would cut R3 billion of VodaCOMS gross profit.

NEOTEL is making a difference in the market 4 competition reasons. The poor coverage is letting them down.

If Jacob Zuma can change laws of the Country 4 his own benefit, surely i think he can lower interconnect rates 4 all to benefit.

I wonder how many of these are going to be in operation within Neotel coverage ;)

Premium price for (much) better coverage, and cell hand over.

on comparing, but not coverage....if vodacom wins on comparing and maybe they will adjust their offering later one- it will be interisting to see what happens then.

My thoughts exactly, What good is 500MB..that is an insult of the highest order. If companies have nothing better to do, than come out guns blazing, blowing nothing but hot air and claiming they got some hot new product line , they rather just keep quite :mad:
